Duration: 2024 - Current

Project Details:

Diamond Materials is currently undertaking the 2300 South Pennsylvania Ave project in Morrisville, PA, valued at $34.87 million. The primary purpose of this project is to perform sitework for a 973,200 square foot warehouse. The project covers 96.325 acres and has an original duration of 2 years, with anticipated adjustments based on project progression.

Key aspects of the project include the clearing of 44.6 acres and a cut-to-fill operation involving 57,635 cubic yards of material. The project also necessitates a significant import of 554,025 cubic yards of fill, which is being barged from a supply site down the river for offloading on-site. Additionally, the installation includes 16,225 linear feet of storm drainage and 1,579 linear feet of sanitary sewer.

The site presents unique challenges, including the demolition of existing structures, asbestos abatement, and ongoing monitoring for phosphorus. To address these challenges, the concrete from demolished structures is being crushed and recycled as Recycled Concrete Aggregate (RCA) for use as fill on-site.

Notably, the project features three underground Stormtech systems comprising 2,283 chambers and 13,830 tons of stone for backfill, along with four stormwater management ponds and one ecobasin for wildlife. The overall execution of the project is complex but is being managed effectively to meet environmental and logistical requirements.
