Airport Road Rehabilitation was a City of Milford project designed by Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc to rehab the existing deteriorating Airport Road in Milford, DE.
This project included:
Hot-mix wedging of the existing roadway to meet finish grade elevations
A half inch mill of the existing roadway with a two-inch overlay, ditch regrading
Sidewalk and curb replacement to meet ADA requirements
Widening the existing shoulder
The goal of this project was to fix issues with the current road and provide the traveling public a safer road to drive on. During construction several areas were discovered where the subgrade had failed. Diamond Materials partnered with the City of Milford to make the necessary repairs, giving the city a roadway that will last the test of time.
"It was completed early and under budget. Much of this accomplishment can be attributed to our outstanding contractor, Diamond Materials"
