Diamond Materials is currently working on the First State Crossing project, which involves sitework for a 358,400 square-foot warehouse located at 4145 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE. Valued at $11.07 million, the project spans 54.293 acres.
The original project duration was set for 1.5 years, with Diamond aiming to complete it sooner. Unique challenges included the demolition and recycling of all existing concrete on-site, as the project is situated on a brownfield where contaminated soil cannot be exported. By effectively managing on-site space and collaborating with project engineers, Diamond was able to proceed without exporting soil. Additionally, significant rock blasting was required during excavation.
